UMTS

This 2 day class covers the essentials of the third generation UMTS (W-CDMA) digital cellular and data air interface. Through this course, students will gain practical knowledge of the UMTS-FDD and UMTS HSDPA air interface and system components.  Students will also be exposed to Node B datafill parameters in the RNC including CPICH, control and traffic channel power allocations as well as scrambling code planning.  A basic working knowledge of cellular voice and data systems and the CDMA and/or GSM air interfaces is a suggested prerequisite for this course.
